The Vietnam – UAE Investment & Business Forum, held on April 10 in Abu Dhabi, marked a significant step forward in strengthening economic ties and investment cooperation between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates.

This high-level event was co-organized by the Embassy of Vietnam in the UAE, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Vietnamese Business Council (VNBC). It welcomed over 400 participants, including senior government officials, business leaders, and investors, with interests spanning trade, renewable energy, logistics, real estate, agriculture, and digital technology.

Fostering Bilateral Investment Opportunities

The forum opened with keynote remarks from H.E. Nguyen Thanh Diep, Ambassador of Vietnam to the UAE, and the Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, who both reaffirmed their commitment to expanding economic collaboration between the two nations.

From the Vietnamese side, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director General of the Import and Export Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, delivered an important address highlighting Vietnam’s export strengths, favorable policies, and openness to international partnerships.

Representatives from Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and the UAE’s Ministry of Economy provided updates on current investment policies, legal reforms, and incentive programs designed to attract foreign investors from both countries.

A Bridge for Business Expansion

As part of its mission, the Vietnamese Business Council played a central role in connecting private sector players and facilitating dialogue between businesses seeking cross-border growth. VNBC Chairman Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan emphasized the council’s role in creating sustainable partnerships and supporting Vietnamese enterprises in tapping into the UAE’s strategic location as a hub linking Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Productive Outcomes

B2B networking sessions offered valuable matchmaking opportunities, leading to the exchange of several Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and expressions of interest. Discussions highlighted shared goals around innovation, sustainability, and market diversification.
