VNBC Message on the 80th Anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day

Sep 02, 2025

Today, in the sacred autumn days of history, as the entire Party, the people, and the armed forces celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of September 2, we – the Vietnamese Business Council in the UAE – extend our warmest congratulations and deepest gratitude to the Party, the Government, and the people of Vietnam.

Our generation grew up in a time when poverty and illiteracy still weighed heavily on our nation, yet our homeland was already free from foreign invaders. Living far from Vietnam to study, work, and build our careers, we carry with us the pride of being Vietnamese, contributing in our own ways to economic, cultural, and educational development, while preserving the image of Vietnam among international friends.

We are deeply grateful for the open policies and support of the Party and the State, as well as the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE, which enable our community of entrepreneurs abroad to showcase Vietnamese intellect, resilience, and spirit on the global stage.

This year, in his address at the National Day ceremony, General Secretary Tô Lâm reminded us of the sacred moment eighty years ago at Ba Đình Square, when President Hồ Chí Minh solemnly read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam – the first people’s democratic state in Southeast Asia. From that moment, our nation entered a new era of independence and freedom, building a people’s government, defending the Fatherland, and steadily advancing toward socialism with the goal of “a wealthy people, a strong nation, democracy, justice, and civilization.”

He emphasized that every victory of the Vietnamese revolution is tied to the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the enduring values of Hồ Chí Minh’s thought, morality, and style. The General Secretary also called upon every Vietnamese – at home and abroad – to stay united, determined, and creative, turning aspirations into reality so that by 2045, when Vietnam marks its centenary, our nation will stand as a strong, prosperous, and happy country.

In this solemn hour, we join our voices with millions of Vietnamese hearts, proud of our past, grateful for our present, and hopeful for the future.

Long live our beloved Vietnam!
Glory to the Communist Party of Vietnam!
May President Hồ Chí Minh’s legacy live forever in our cause!
Eternal honor belongs to the People.
