The Vietnamese Business Council in the UAE (VNBC) was honored to be invited for a special visit with H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, together with our members and business leaders.
The meeting provided an open platform to exchange perspectives on strengthening UAE–Vietnam trade and investment relations, especially in light of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). For VNBC, it was an invaluable opportunity to highlight the aspirations of Vietnamese enterprises and showcase how our members are contributing to the UAE’s diverse economy.

Key Takeaways
H.E. Dr. Thani reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to deeper cooperation, recognizing Vietnam as a dynamic trade partner. He emphasized the UAE’s role as a gateway for Vietnamese enterprises seeking to expand into regional and global markets.
Our members’ questions covered areas such as trade facilitation, market entry support, CEPA’s implementation timeline, investment flows, and trust-building mechanisms — topics that reflect both the opportunities and challenges Vietnamese businesses face in the UAE. The Minister welcomed these inputs, noting that business councils like VNBC serve as vital bridges between governments and entrepreneurs, ensuring dialogue translates into action.
A Timely Celebration
Coincidentally, this meaningful dialogue took place on Emirati Women’s Day. On behalf of VNBC, we extend our warmest congratulations to the women of the UAE, whose leadership and contributions continue to inspire across every sector. Their achievements remind us that empowerment and collaboration go hand in hand.
Moving Forward
VNBC is proud to be part of this initiative and looks forward to working closely with the Ministry of State for Foreign Trade to develop joint programs, trade missions, and knowledge-sharing platforms that support our members’ growth. By engaging directly with decision-makers, we can ensure that Vietnamese enterprises have a clear pathway to succeed in the UAE and beyond.
Together, we grow stronger.
