VNBC Annual General Meeting 2025: A Stronger Voice for Vietnamese Businesses

Oct 27, 2025

The Vietnamese Business Council in the UAE (VNBC) successfully hosted its Annual General Meeting 2025 on 24 October 2025 in Dubai, gathering members, distinguished guests, and strategic partners from both the UAE and Vietnam. The event marked an important milestone in VNBC’s mission to connect, empower, and represent the growing Vietnamese business community across the Emirates.

A Gathering of Diplomacy and Collaboration

The meeting was honored by the attendance of H.E. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Diep, Ambassador of the Vietnamese Embassy in the UAE, whose presence reaffirmed the close diplomatic and economic relationship between Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates.

The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Truong Xuan Trung, Head of the Viet Nam Trade Office, Vietnamese Embassy in the UAE, who shared insights on strengthening bilateral trade, investment collaboration, and the growing role of Vietnamese enterprises in the UAE market.

Representing the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Fatma AlMadani, Senior Manager, Business Relations, and Ms. Sharina, Senior Manager, Business Relations, also attended the meeting, emphasizing the Chamber’s ongoing support for the Vietnamese business community and its commitment to facilitating cross-border cooperation between Dubai and Vietnam.

The event also featured welcoming remarks and a keynote from Mr. Harry Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnamese Business Council in the UAE, who shared VNBC’s vision for 2025–2026: expanding membership, strengthening partnerships with UAE entities, and positioning Vietnamese enterprises as active contributors to the UAE’s vibrant economic landscape. “VNBC will continue to serve as a bridge—connecting our community with new opportunities, new markets, and new collaborations that drive mutual growth,” he stated.

Review of Key Activities

The AGM presented VNBC’s 2025 activity highlights, reflecting a dynamic year of collaboration and growth.

  • Business forums held in DMCC (February) and Abu Dhabi Chamber (April) connected Vietnamese and Emirati enterprises.

  • Investment and networking programs such as the Vinh Phuc Investment Forum, DMCC Luncheon with AmCham, and Ramadan Suhoor gatherings fostered dialogue and cultural exchange.

  • Partnership developments expanded to include Ajman Free Zone, JAFZA, YBA, and UMQ, reinforcing VNBC’s network across multiple UAE business ecosystems.

  • Roadshows and delegation visits, including the JAFZA Roadshow in Vietnam and the ASEAN Business Forum, further promoted the Council’s regional presence.

Empowering Vietnamese Businesses for Global Growth

During the session, VNBC leaders reviewed the Council’s achievements over the past year, including trade missions, business networking events, and strategic collaborations with UAE free zones and government partners. These initiatives have helped enhance Vietnam’s visibility in the UAE market and provided practical support for Vietnamese entrepreneurs looking to expand globally.

Looking ahead, VNBC announced its 2025–2026 strategic focus on expanding membership, strengthening institutional partnerships, and promoting two-way market access between Vietnam and the UAE. The Council aims to continue serving as a trusted bridge—helping UAE investors explore opportunities in Vietnam while enabling Vietnamese enterprises to establish and thrive in the UAE, especially in the areas of trade, manufacturing, logistics, technology, and services.

Strategic Direction for 2026

Looking ahead, VNBC unveiled its 2025–2026 strategic roadmap, focusing on five key priorities:

  1. Expanding membership base by 100% — targeting 80 members.

  2. Hosting monthly networking events in partnership with chambers, business councils, and government bodies.

  3. Strengthening collaboration with UAE free zones and ministries.

  4. Organizing a flagship Vietnam–UAE “In Focus” business forum in cooperation with Dubai Chamber and the Vietnamese Embassy.

  5. Securing new strategic partners to support member growth and engagement.

These objectives align with VNBC’s vision of becoming the leading platform for Vietnamese–UAE business collaboration, fostering two-way market access and sustainable cross-border partnerships.

A Strong and United Community

The AGM also celebrated VNBC’s growing membership — now over 40 active members with a target of 80 by next year — and recognized the contributions of its Board of Directors, volunteers, and partners. The Council reaffirmed its role as both a business network and a community, promoting professional growth, cultural understanding, and mutual support among Vietnamese professionals in the UAE.

In his closing remarks, the Chairman expressed gratitude to all members and partners:

“VNBC is more than a business platform — it is a community where Vietnamese entrepreneurs support each other and create new opportunities together. Our unity and collaboration will continue to strengthen the Vietnam–UAE partnership.”

The VNBC Annual General Meeting 2025 successfully reflected the spirit of unity and collaboration that defines the Vietnamese business community in the UAE — a community growing stronger every year through partnership, innovation, and shared purpose.
